Our History

Carletonille/Khutsong A.O.G. History

Khutsong A.O.G started in January 1961,after a crusade by Pastor Philip Molefe,Pst Nakedi,Pst Mofokeng,Pst Gayile,Pst Mahlangu at Thozama section – all these were Pastors during that Crusade.

Technician- Mr T.Syale was a technician in that crusade.

Chorus leaders: sister Juliet,sister Selina,Sister Martha.

 

After the crusade a shacke – umkhukhu was constructed with the aid of the missionaries, to accommodate the converts at Nxumalo Street,1507, where the church is situated now. It was not easy to fellowship there especially on rainy seasons, it was a water logged place, during such times Mr M.S. Mlangeni – the late, he  use to accommodate brethren in their garage. Fund raisings were started and everybody contributed and Mrs Mlangeni won a watch during those fundraisings.

In 1994 the construction of the present church building was started with some R50.00 individual contributions with most brethren from the mines, there was great unity/harmony and team work during this project. All brethren was tasked with contributing a chair and that worked fruitfully. Pastor E.Hlophe by then was the Pastor and the co-ordinator of this project. In 1996 the A.O.G. Executive officially opened the church.

Pst Mahlangu, Pst Phinda, Pst Msiza, Pst Khamba,Pst N.Sithole, Pst Maseko, Pst Sithole, Pst E.Hlophe who spent 14 years in the same local more than any other Pastor, Pst Momaque, Pst Z.W.Dlamini, Pst Mpofu, Pst P.Kubheka, Pst D.Mathaba and Pst S.M.Magadlela who is currently serving this local.

 

Pastors who are products of this local church are; Pst M.M.Motete, Pst X.Ntayiya, Pst Ndlovu – in Swaziland, Pst Simelane, Pst Dyasi, Pst Lephutha and Pst Madigkage.

 

 

Welcome to Sunday School Organisation

Sunday School classes, to teach and shape children: 

•To have basic knowledge and understanding of the Bible according to the children’s standard;

•To have an understanding of the topics which they are taught that are from the AOG Sunday School syllabus.

 

 

Welcome to youth Organisation

The vision of the youth organisation is as follows: To produce balanced young persons in all respects – spiritually, physically, socially, economically, intellectually and politically – Luke 2:52. The Youth Committee is the organisational structure of the youth in the church which works with the church leadership to see to it that the vision of the youth organisation is carried out accordingly.

 Welcome to Girls’s Organisation

  This department comprises of the unmarried young girls and women. The committee conducts services and other platforms that aim to teach and shape girls:

         i.            Who live a holy life and are found about the Lord’s work;

       ii.            Who know how to conduct themselves at work, school, church, home and in their communities;

      iii.            Who have a balanced life and esteem education to be important.

 

 

 

Welcome to Women’s Organisation

This department comprises of married women and those who were once married. The fundamental duties of the committee is to conduct services and other platforms that aim to teach and shape women:

·         Who will know their duties at home (as mothers, wives and so forth), at church, at work and even in their communities;

·         To be women of noble characters as the Word of God instructs;
